Ever since I was a little kid, I had an uncontrollable desire to make noise with everything I could get my hands on. It has led to, apart from driving people around me nuts, me becoming a drummer. I was seven years old when I was given my first drum kit and started taking drumming lessons.
One day I watched a musician make music with his body, and a completely new world opened before my eyes. I began to make body rhythms on my own, and decided to name the concept bodybeat.
By now, I have taught thousands of children and adolescents the idea of bodybeat. As the composer of the group, I get an outlet for my crazy ideas, in addition I get to use most of the junk and trash that I continually store up.
My name is Søren and my passions in life are friendship, playfulness and stomp rhythms. It is no coincidence that Emil of Lönneberga was one of my greatest idols as a child.
My favourite instrument is the kazoo.
I love having fun and making mischief.I am intrigued by the world of acting, i'm fond of every character I portray in HeartBeat, from the panicky Russian trooper to the naughty schoolboy.
However, what I love the most is when we play the chips song, because I really, really, really love chips.
Hello there! I’m Thomas. In HeartBeat I’m also known as ”Curly”.
I am completely obsessed with music! I have been playing music most of my life and my desire to experiment has brought me a through a number of instruments such as guitar, bass guitar, piano, and of course drums. My desire to make strange, funny and interesting sounds made me fall in love with stomp.
My passion comes from the fact that you can make music with craziest things. You can make notes come out of a vacuum cleaner hose, turn a pizza box into a snare drum, and a washing machine can produce the most amazing sounds. The sky really is the limit when it comes to making stomp music. On top of that, after adding a microphone the sounds can be distorted in an astounding number of ways, the possibilities are endless. That is why I have chosen to be HeartBeat’s very own sound engineer.
Back when I went to school, I was constantly on the move and unable to sit down. I was out during every break and ran around like a football player. I still have tons of energy, running marathons and breakdancing amongst other things.
Music is just about the greatest thing to me. When I decided to learn to play myself, the drum set was the obvious choice. Behind the drums I have the freedom to jump around and be quick with the drumsticks.
I love to feel; my heart beating, the groovy rhythms in my ears, and the fellowship with my HeartBeat friends.
